ARCHERY: Hawkeye (but who would he compete against?)

Isn't Bullseye suppose to be proficient will any kind of projectile weapon?

Hulk, Wonderman, and the Thing have all been shown leaping to get around. They could clean up in the medals.

This is a reference to a Quasar issue, where Marvel coped out and had a Flash (DC) analogue jump in and win the race

Thor and Collousus would probably beat out Guido. Unless they beat the hell out of him first. :)

I want Stilt-Man as a middle blocker on the volleyball team. Giant Man would be good as an outside hitter (particularly for anyone who remembers the coin-op arcade volleyball game where your team had 5 little guys and one Big Guy :-).

I don't think you should limit the events to normal ones. I'd like to see events that test the various abilities. I don't know what you would call the events, or what the goals are. Perhaps someone else could come up with that! Here are some of the groupings (feel free to add your own entrants!):

I think you mean fencing. Nightcrawler would be better, since I suspect he knows the rules in formal fencing, while Shatterstar wouldn't.

Due to the extensive training all the X-Men get, I wouldn't be at all surprised if many of them could do the decathalon/heptathalon.

Telekinetics would do marvels in archery, shot put, discus, pole vault, high jump, javelin, almost any gymnastics (esp. rings). Swimming would pose a problem for a telekinetic though since if the form of the stroke is off then the swimmer is disqualified. Jean Grey would probably perform well in any of these events (except swimming of course).

Magneto would do well in any riflery event + shot put, discus, javelin, etc . . .

A good telepath could make the judges and audience see him/her perform any feat by manipulating their perception, enabling an accomplished telepath to win any event.

Of course, there should be an Olympic event for looking imposing and menacing. Colossus seems pretty menacing to me, but some of the X-villans would probably beat him out.

Well winter olympics has brutal skaters, maybe they would try to "eliminate" the competition. Thinking of winter olympics, should we get Iceman to supply the winter conditions.
